Part of the sculpture looks strange, half a man in the ground, this symbolises the way people used the sewers to escape into. Also the columns... More

Being a historian, I stand in awe in front of this magnificent tribute to the brave who rise up against oppression. They were a generation that defined bravery, patriotism and honor. Bring a candle to honor the fallen, their sacrifice was not in vain, but after 45 years of suppression by the Commies, the country recognizes their important part in... More

Worth the ten minute walk from the Royal Castle to see this monument. The sheer size of the subjects were quite impacting but more poignant when you know the history.

The monument is a tribute to the war heroes, and it's very respected by the Polishes. They are always lighting some candles or putting flowers near it, especially on holidays. It's nice to see parents taking their kids to pay their tributes to the national heroes.

Very moving monument, dedicated to all those who lost their lives in tragic events of '44. Nice comemorative plaque with a lot of information, while the statues are really something to admire.
