About
The Multimedia Fountain Park, located in the Podzamcze district just a short walk north of the Old Town, opened in May 2011. It is known as a visual delight that combines music, light, and fountains. Stołeczna Estrada, one of Warsaw's cultural institutions, prepares new shows every year that can be seen on late Friday and Saturday evenings during the summer season (May - September). Additionally, during the winter season (December and January), a festive light installation illuminates the Fountain Park.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am impressed how Warsaw extends the map of attractions. The Fountain Park is a nice place not only for families with children but also for the elderly. The illuminations are impressive. It's nice to take a walk from Solec along the Vistula Boulevards, the Copernicus Center, the University of Warsaw Library, the Castle with fountains and finally the Multimedia Fountain Park. A brilliant thing and for that, bravo.

Nice show of music and lights suitable for the whole family.

We must pay attention to the start time of the show which varies depending on the summer months on Friday and Saturday nights.

Council a blanket to sit comfortably on the grass of the hill sloping down to the river to watch the best of the show. If you have the opportunity advise you not to miss it! @gargio76

The Multimedia Fountain Show takes place every Friday and Saturday evening (in May, September at 9pm, June-August at 9.30 pm) and takes 30 minutes (on other days you should expect simpler shows without the music and lights). The Fountain Park is located just next to the New Town and about 10 minutes walk from Old Town (simply follow the crowd). The show itself is great and attracts 1000s of people. It includes fountains synchronized with music, lights, lasers and 3D effects. This year there is is about the history and music of Poland. If you are in Warsaw over the weekend I cannot think of better tourist attraction to start the evening.

It's entertaining every time of the day. In the evening there are lights and show. It's traditional spot for locals to cool off and get some tan. Near old town and hotel Ibis. It's good place to rest and enjoy the show.

I really loved this spectacle. The area was full with people, and the music and images was captivating. Even though it was september, the temperature was comfortable even at night. In september the show starts at 0830.

Had noticed the fountains on our way into the city from the airport. The multi media show lasted about 20 minutes and was free which was a bonus

Fountains, lights and music. Laser show. Story in Polish so we couldn't quite understand what it was all about. The vibe was nice.
For my children, after 15 minutes, it was enough so we left

This only happens once a day (at night) and only between certain months so look up the details before you go so you don't miss out! The show is an animated short movie with dramatic music and laser displays interspersed between the main story. Despite the very basic story it's a fun event suitable for all ages as long as you're able to stand up for half hour. It's close to the Old Town so is easy to fit into your local tourism and ideal to go for a meal before or after. When was the last time you watched a lasershow movie projected onto fountains! Give it a try!

PLOT SPOILERS: The storyline is a re-invented Medusa and Perseus, with Medusa now a dragon turning the townsfolk to stone with lasers from its eyes and Perseus now a ballerina dancing to save everyone and eventually turning the dragon to stone by showing it it's own reflection.
