Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Chlodna Street is more than just a few restaurants and bars, it is the street that during World War 2 ran in between the two Jewish Ghettos. As you can see from the picture above, there are pavers that show the edge of the wall. Walk towards the junction of Chlodna Street and Wronia Street you will also find where they have commemorated the bridge that connected the two ghettos. With pavers on the ground, large poles coming out of the ground and pictures to view you start to get a complete sense of what the area looked like at the time.

This street is beautiful and it consists of many historical events/sites, therefore should be visited or passed-through by visitors of Warsaw.

Where it's renewed it looks great(few good restaurants), but few meters after there are ruined garages, buildings with strange people, bums, etc.

Another must see as one of the few remainders of the Warsaw Ghetto. A memorial art piece spans the street in the same space that the bridge that connected the two parts of the ghetto stood. Eerily, an information board contains a picture from the same angle, so that you can still see the same building standing there, one that would have been inside the ghetto. Also, when you walk up, there are the remains of the tram line that used to travel through here too. Haunting.

The site of the wooden footbridge which Jews had to cross to pass between the large and small ghettos without entering the forbidden outside world. A beautiful but simple memorial, and a stone with an explanation and a picture of the bridge. A potent reminder of that terrible time.

Go with a guide (many tours of the Jewish ghetto can be had) to fully understand the history of this street where a wall used to stand, not just nice restaurants and buildings refurbished...... Now only several plaques remind us of that tragic past.

The location of the wooden foot bridge that joined the little ghetto with the big ghetto is memorialised here with posts either side of the road with wires connecting them. This bridge was iconic and at the base of the posts are viewers showing how the bridge and area looked. Must see part of any ghetto tour.

We hired an apartment (very good) on Chlodna Street, yes, the street is a little dubious at the furthest end but is a piece of history in itself. It was the street that divided the two Jewish ghettos in World War II and as you walk along the street there are plaques and little picture stands showing slides from that time. As you look at photos you start to recognise the buildings that are still standing from that period. Also a couple of good eating places Winosfera and a little pub/restaurant further up towards the city end of the street that has fantastic fresh meals - can't remember the name and can't find it to pass it on...
