An insight into the contemporary art scene in Warsaw

The volumes of the building is not optimized and used to make the piece of art impact us. Some of the rooms are too tight versus dimension of the piece of art presented and we can have the opposite as well. Otherwise the museum is located in a very nice park. I will come back depending on the artists who... More

This time the exhibition was about African art which didn't appeal to me. But the location and the rooms are great and so does the potential of focusing on detailed contemporary themes, so you hate it or love it! Will come over again so see what's next

I have never been disappointed with their Art Exhibitions or Alternative Cinema Lab. This place massively contributed to my artistic growth and understanding of art! They often have exhibitions of international artists, uprising ones and excellent Polish artists as well! I love their Alternative Lab Cinema, if you're into alternative movies or are looking for something new, different, artistic and... More

The photo and some of the reviews are a little confusing. This museum is located in the Ujazdow Castle in a park a few blocks south of main railway station. There is also a modern art museum located near the Palace of Culture (pictured in the photo currently associated with this listing). The two museums are different. However, some of... More

It is not Tate modern but it has a lot of on offer and some of the works are really excellent. You can visit for free and the exhibition seems to change every year. But it felt very contemporary and fresh. There is small but nice cafe and a bookshop with a substantial selection of books in English. All in... More

The entry was free and there were some very interesting exhibitions there in addition to multi-media displays. The kids would love some of the exhibits. There is an adjacent terrace cafe with wonderful views across Warsaw and a Kino cinema downstairs in the basement. It is located in a park next to Lazienki Park.

My cousin took me here, and I absolutely loved my visit. The artwork was really unique and modern, and is worth checking out. There were many interesting sculptures and paintings, and also many videos on various topics. Although it may not look very appealing from the outside, I would 100% recommend this place. (I actually visited in April 2013)

The Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw is located in XVIII Century Ujazdowski Castle really close to Lazienki Palace. From the outside the building looks like next boring museum, but it's really full of modern, young art: paintings, sculpters, photos, videos and many many more. In the CSW is working the cinema - KINO.LAB, wchich shows alternative movies. After waching... More
