Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Once I have watched the film "Przygoda na Mariensztacie" from 1954 by Leonard Buczkowski. It was made in the natural outdoors of the reconstructed Warsaw and I decided to check how it looks like nowadays. During the day is rather quiet there, not many people and years of glory are behind it but it is a part of our history so it was worth to see it. Take a look at my photos and decide for yourself.

Small, a bit off the tourist beaten. One may think it is continuation of the old town, however this is a new square developed just after WW II. One may continue the walk to Warsaw University Library, which is aprx 15 walking away. There are few ( could be more ) cafeterias, and in summer one may find sun beds in front one of the bar

One may say that Warsaw from the late 40s of the 20th cent is not worth visiting. But they are wrong! Mariensztat is one of Warsaw gems. See the buildings and have coffee in one of the cafes in the square.

While the quarter retains an old name, it was completely destroyed during the war and the buildings are new. Not very high, well placed, with some green areas, this quarter was a nice surprise for me. Calm and pleasant, and close to the Old Town.

It was a very interesting experience at dinner. Live music, good and a little more loud. The food presentation combined with beer is a new experience.
Quantity is not big but is tasty.
If you are hungry it is not a good choice.
Bad point was that the lady that serve us had not a proper attitude with customers which had only some fun between themselves , showing that she is upset. Location looks ok , inside. Overall experience was ok.

There is not much to see here. It's just a cute square with a street with beautifull colored houses.
The street takes you directly to one of my favourite streets in warsaw.
So if its on your way see this square, if not, I dont think its worth to go there on purpose just to see this.

This is a nice square built after the war and as the original, built to resemble small town old towns. It's a short walk down from the key tourist street: Krakowskie Przedmiescie so there are no excuses not to visit the place. There are few pubs, one or two restaurants and a great atmosphere. Small fountain and a nearby park add to the experience.

Mariensztat Sq. is a nice surprise located very near from Old Town, easily reached withing few minutes of walk. You will find few restaurants there and of course very interesting square with old infrastructure and buildings. Good place to have a romantic walk around.

The place is delimitated by old buildings, colorful ones, that might bring an historical spirit. Near these ones, are all kind of restaurant, that will try to calm down your appetite.
There are all kin of facilities also. from banks, exchange currencies etc.

Best time to visit in the Spring - while the square is surrounded with fresh green of trees and the air from the river is so fresh. Great place for a coffee, lunch and even romantic dinner.
