Cetrepiece is the stature of the little mermaid of Warsaw which is the coat of arms of Warsaw city and considered the city's protector. Square offers so much from restaurants, bars. museums, art gallery, souvenir shops, Photo opportunities and in close walking distance to other attractions in Old Town.Visited September 2023Travelled soloWritten 8 May 2024

This square is surrounded by beautiful town houses and there are many restaurants and cafes with open air eating.
Like almost everything in the Old Town, this square and all the houses were rebuilt after the war according to their original form. In the middle of the square there is a statue of a mermaid, the protector of the city of Warsaw.

This is off Castle Square and as with Castle Square, it is tunning in good light, fun, lots of good restaurants & cafés, and wonderful museums. Make time and plans to visit the Warsaw Museum in the Old Market Square. Absolutely worth the time.

The Rynek of Stare Miasto in Warsaw is opening for this Christmas Season, little shops that offer everything you can hope for to celebrate December. And there is ice skating around the mermaid. Beautiful to visit!!

Beautiful square with some amazing ornate buildings. On a par with Brussels square for magnificence. Lots of bars and restaurants with open air eating & drinking. Also lots of benches to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.

I have walked through and dined in this square during the day and in the evening. I most enjoy it in the evening, when I am able to relax, and enjoy fine Polish cuisine and beer at one of the fine restaurants in the square. A great place to relax, and people watch.

האם עדיף לשלב סיור במסגרת טיול מאורגן או עדיף לטייל לבד ולהתרשם
Written 5 June 2018
