About
The Warsaw Rising Museum was opened on the 60th anniversary of the outbreak of fighting in Warsaw. The Museum is a tribute of Warsaw’s residents to those who fought and died for independent Poland and its free capital. The exhibition depicts fighting and everyday life during the Rising, keeping occupation terror in the background. Complexity of the international situation at the time of the Rising is portrayed, including the post-war years of the Communist regime and the fate of Insurgents in the People’s Republic of Poland (PRL). With the total area of more than 3000 m2, 800 exhibition items, approximately 1500 photographs, films and sound recordings, history of the days preceding the Rising is told. Visitors are guided through the subsequent stages of the Rising until the time when the Insurgents left Warsaw. Their further fate is also portrayed.

Mind blown must do in Warsaw
This is A must do if you are in Warsaw a few days, it’s entry fee is cheap. Can be a bit confusing trying to find entrance though. But once you are in this place will just make your jaw drop with the atrocities that Poland faces during WW2, there is many language options so it’s easy to understand. The artificacts are so amazing and the place feels very moody and atmospheric. Listening to survivor stories would make you sick and emotional. So this place is definitely not for faint of heart. Nonetheless such a fascinating museum and so interesting.

Good museum to visit. It tells the story of the second world war and what happened in Poland. I recommend at the entrance to use the audio in your language, it will be a better visit following the numbers to understand better.

    Fantastic Museum
This amazing museum was the main reason we came to Warsaw. It is a must see. We arrived around 3:30pm and it closed at 6pm. We wee unsure if we’d have enough time but the recommendation was 2 hours. We all felt we could have stayed much longer as there was so much information to consume. It is very well laid out and the exhibits were displayed beautifully.

    Amazing museum
I had an amazing time in this museum. I learned a lot about Poland history. We went there on the last day of being in Poland, and it was a great choice. I left my wallet in the restroom but the security guy was kind enough to keep it and give it back to me even though the museum was closed. I 100% recommend this museum anyone who's visiting Poland.

It's definitely worth a visit. Mondays are free, but you need to go to the museum very early, otherwise it will get crowded.

I planned to visit the museum on Saturday morning.

On arrival, the entrance was blocked by an unfriendly guy in a uniform. He did not speak English, but gestured to a small sign which just said "Unfortunately the museum will be closed on Saturday 28th of October 2023".

No explanation was offered and (as far as I could see) no notification of the closure had been given on the website. So I, along with hundreds of other would-be visitors, wasted a morning making an unnecessary trip across Warsaw.

I don't know if the exhibition is any good, but the people who run the museum clearly have no respect for its visitors. I will not try again.

Disapointment. This could be a great museum but it is a big mess with rude and unprofessional staff. There is quite a lot to see though. Even with audio guide and map it’s hard to follow the route. I was charged twice for the audio tour. When I told that I already paid for it at the ticketing booth the answer was just ”no you didn’t”. I couldn’t care less for money since the price is next to nothing, but staff should have at least the minimum amount of manners and customer service attitude.

Shows details of uprising. Read the Wikipedia article first so this is more real. Brave Polish people! They tried. They really tried. Tragic loss and destruction.
Be sure to get the audio guide, it was very helpful, especially becomes it comes with a map of the museum.. Even if you get tired, you can sit down and listen to the audio in that section and then just walk around to see the actual artifact.
Keep in mind that Mondays are free so when I went, it was particularly crowded. For this reason and also because there were many details that I missed, I would like to go back someday.
