The museum is quite well organized, as many museums in Poland, and tells about the special sweeties made in Torun since 1500. The story starts with the legend, and ends with industrial production documented by an interesting movie, hopefully quite old, since many operations were...More

We had gone on a Sunday while in Bydgoszcz but by 2 was already booked so we returned on a Tuesday and the crowds were less. We didn't have a reservation but many have recommended it. The main unusual attraction is the making of a...More

A smallish display over two floors but informative and well laid out, including English translations, in an atmospheric building that was formerly the largest gingerbread factory in Torun.

OK, I wouldn't say that a "gingerbread museum" or any other museum based on food would be top of my agenda but I was very pleasantly surprised by this museum. Free tickets (I'm not sure if this is always the case) was a good start...More

Worth a visit. Kids will enjoy the film shows depicting how the product was manufactured. Quite an atmosphere in here too as one can imagine lives lived and working practices carried out.

The Kopernik manufacture is the most famous producer of gingerbread in Poland and not without reason. "Katarzynki" are one of the best biscuits in the world! Their other products are delicious, too. :)
