Great place if you want to do something different. The tour is relatively short but very informative. You can get hands on with gingerbread making and you get to keep your creation!

Torun is all about two things. Gingerbread and Copernicus. This little museum is mainly about the history of making gingerbread presented in a fun format with the opportunity to male your own gingerbread. There are 2 floors and a shop, and the opportunity for additional...More

This is an experience rather than museum. You go over medieval gingerbread making and then early 20th century. You make some gingerbread (slightly jokey, aimed at kids in part) but you do learn how it is made. You end up with a piece you made....More

Thank you for your review! It is indeed more like experience thing than traditional museum. But it's about scents and taste so what else could it be if not experience? Cheers

Whimsical and fun history of gingerbread making. The gingerbread witch and her helper interact with guests adding ingredients and spices to make the dough. Everyone gets a lump of dough, rolls and molds a cookie which is then baked to take home.

Thank you for review. Is there any better souvenir from Torun than gingebrbread that you made? It would be a pity not to have it:) It will remind you of The Witch and The Master:) May you have many grand travels

Had a really fun session with the staff who taught you the brief history and ingredients that made up ginger bread. Later, you get hands on experience making your own gingerbread to take home. They offer English sessions (book ahead). Highly recommend!
