Torun is charming and interesting. We learned so much about Copernicus, enjoyed way too much gingerbread, and ate two very fine meals at Szeroka #9.

An old medieval town square mainly full,of restaurants and bars. Worth a look. The town hall dominates the square and you can walk through the middle of it into a nice courtyard

If you visit see if you can get a guided tour through the center as this is always interesting in understanding the history of the city and all the old stories are nice for the imagination!
