Poznan has many parks and a lot of open green spaces. Just north of the Old Town you will find Cytadela Park. The 89 hectares park has beautiful promenades and green spaces. It is also home to Winiary Hill and quite a few monuments and military items. Winiary Hill has a big military history and was the last Nazi stronghold... More

If you like to walk, the Cytadela Park is the best way if you want to enjoy some history of Poznan. You can see for free some of tanks from WWII and read more about it over the web.

Well worth the visit, if you have an interest in military. Plenty to see from First World War to the second. Planes, tanks, uniforms it's all there. There is a nice bar/ cafe outside as well, worth a visit.

Nothing much special with the park here. I assume if you live in the city its a nice green break, but if you are a tourist is not a must see. the highlight is the Nierozpoznani sculpture. Worth visiting the graveyard connected

The park is really large and easy accessible also for parents with kid in trolleys. Many trees, quiteness, birds in the trees. For bigger kids possibility to see and touch military tanks can be quite impressive. The lovers of history will be surprised to see well preserved cemetery of English soldiers who died in the I and II WW. We... More

Within walking distance of the old town of Poznan where it's super touristy, pop to Park Cytadela for a peaceful walk. Lots of locals around jogging, chatting, playing with their children - it's a lovely, safe and clean area. Visited several times in the week we spent in Poznan. There are toilets, and a museum to visit too.

I really enjoyed this park where we spent a good few hours. We visited the ww2 museum however it would've been helpful if the information boards were in English too as they were all in Polish (apart from 2). All in all a nice place to spend an afternoon.

Well worth a visit, we went for the parkrun and were made very welcome by the lovely Polish people. Went back on the Sunday and visited the museum and the headless metal bodies... I can imagine how fabulous this park would be in the summer, and only a 20-25 minute walk from the centre.

Cytadela Park is a wonderful place to spend some time with your family and friends. You can just come for a walk or exercise on open gyms. There's plenty of posibilities to spend your free time there.
