The town hall of Poznan is very beautiful, if you visit at noon you will get to see the goats come out over the clock as well.

Visited on Tuesday 2nd October. Time your visit for when the clock strikes the hour and you will be rewarded with two goats appearing above the clock.

I have written a review of the Old Square in Poznan, which I consider one of the best of Europe, since it is very quiet, specially at The reason is simple: there is an interesting mix of architectural styles: medieval, eclectically, renaissance, etc. But most...More

Make sure you're there at 1200 Noon to watch the Goats butt heads. Lots of History with this so make sure you check it out. Get there early and get in front and back so you can observe the two goats... Kinda cool.

Loved wandering around this impressive building with it's historic architecture juxtaposed by the modern and lively bars and clubs

The renaissance hall is indeed magnificent and there are some interesting photographs of pre-1945 Poznan, but the cellars with the pillory were closed (presumably for restoration but who knows) and I was put off by the rudeness of some of the staff.

Big attraction for kids younger than 10 y.o. Located very high, might be quite difficult to spot them from the ground. if you're not a child or doesn't have children at all, you can easily skip this attraction.

If you have time to kill you can go into the museum in the town hall as it was quite cheap and didn't take long to look round, but it was nothing special.

The Renaissance building is beautiful, and it's a landmark that makes Poznan different from many old towns with a row of fancy facades. However, the show with mechanical goats at the clock tower is a bit overrated. It's not worth bothering and waiting for it.
