To understand Lodz it's important to know something about its history which is based on the textile industry. This museum gives some good insight's. Wish it were bigger but the admission price is tiny and very good value. Wouldn't recommend for small children, they won't understand what they are looking at. Best for adults who have a genuine interest in... More

The importance of the textile industry to the growth and blossoming of Lodz is unquestioned. Thus, in order to understand Lodz it would be important to have a sense of what took place in this regard. While this museum does contain some of the basic information, only a small fraction of it is translated into English. There is a very... More

Good idea however only one floor not much to see. I have been leaving in Lodz for over 20 years, but I have to say avoid this museum. I know is just over £1 for entry but is nothing there.

The museum gave an excellent history of how Lodz became the great rival of Manchester in the cotton industry from approx. 1820 till all their major markets collapsed at the end of World War !. Facenating to follow the history up to our time!

A great museum that told the story of the textile industry and the factory site in particular. At one time there were 850 textile factories in Lodz contributing to the expansion of a once tiny village. A really interesting story and a great roof top view of Manufactura site for 4 Zloty (less than £1) each. We were there for... More

A great family attraction, you will learn not just how cotton came from the fields and how it was processed and then turned onto clothes, but also the history of an industry that made some people extremely wealthy in Lodz. A real working historic museum that is fun and educational at the same time. Highly recommended.

It's surprisingly small, giving a quick overview of how the factory which occupied the current Manufaktura complex fared over time. Somehow one expects more esp. given how big the factory once was.

This is a great little museum. It gives a good overview of the importance of manufacturing and the textile industry in Lodz. The staff were lovely, very friendly and efficient. The demonstration and short talk about the machines was excellent. Its not easy to find, we had to ask several people in the Manufaktura before we stumbled across it ourselves.... More
