This is a place, a museum, that is dedicated to keeping the history and memory of the 43,00-Jewish inhabitants of Lublin. You cannot truly know Lublin without knowing about its Jewish inhabitants before WWII. It is near Grodzka Gate, which separated the Jewish from the...More

Very interesting centre. It was a ruin, now beautifully restored. The museum itself is small but shows everything from the old time. Audiovisual presentation is very touching. It's guiding in few languages. You have to see this if you are in Lublin.

One side is the old town, the other is towards the Castle. There is a brewery just on the right of the gate where you can get authentic, locally brewed (downstairs) Polish Beer. Absolutely lovely!

Recreation of lives and homes of 43,000 Jews who lived in Lublin prior to WWII that were destroyed. Archival documentation is an ongoing project by volunteers to preserve the history of Jews in Lublin since the 15th century.
