Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The Leopoldine hall is simply as beautiful place as you will ever find. It is a monument to various historical scientific figures and you are just wowed by the sumptious decoration. The mathematical tower is well worth a trip. It is not the highest viewpoint by a long way but the views are superb.

When you enter the University and go up the stairs, you arrive at a beautiful reception hall. The ceilings are richly painted; there are beautiful sculptures around; the stage area is delightful. The only problem is that it is often used for awards and receptions and you will be lucky to access it. It's really worth the effort to visit. As you come down the stairs you see photographs of the destruction caused during the war and how beautifully it has been restored. You also get a lovely view of the River Odra. Well worth your time.

Take time to take a walk into the "Old Town", it is well worth the walk from the Central City area, about 15 minutes or by tram (5 - 10 minutes).

On the way to the "Old Town", you will pass this loverly, old University building.

A beautiful building of University of Wroclaw on the outside, and even more beautiful on the inside. There is a museum within the university that you must visit. It's also a nice view from the roof.

We were only in Wroclaw for a few days and we wanted to take full advantage of it. So we joined the culture tour which started at Rynek and we came across the University of Wroclaw. The guide told us about the history of this beautiful building but we didn't had the time to visit the insite of the University so the next day we went back and it was absolutely worth it! We bought a ticket (14zl each) for all four parts of the museum: two beautiful renovated baroque halls, a small museum and the Mathematical Tower to look over the city. The 2 downtrairs rooms were amazing! When you enter the room, they give you a headphone that tell the history about the room. I personally didn't prefer to listen to them because I got bored really quickly. I was impressed how big the room was and how beautiful baroque paintings and decorations there were. We then climbed up the stairs reaching the top of the Mathematical Tower with a beautiful view over the old town. The woman who sat there received us kindly. Very pleasant! A 360 ° view of the whole of the city but it was very windy so we had to go back in immediately. I recommend going to the university on hot days, because then the visit is even better! I really enjoyed my visit to the University of Wroclaw! I have very beautiful photos as a reminder of this fantastic visit and if I'm in wroclaw again, I'll definitely go back!

We made three attempts to gain entry to this magnificent building and eventually entered on the Tuesday morning and was it worth the wait. Firstly the building itself dominates the whole area across the road from the Oder river and the lighting at night really shows its magnificence. We purchased our tickets for 13 PLN and we had four sections to visit. On the ground floor you have the Oratorium Marianum and the Wystawa where you visit the magnificent lecture hall with its ornate surrounds and painted ceilings there are also exhibitions of works of arts. On the second floor you have the magnificent Aula Leopoldynska – which unfortunately was being refurbished but we got a look at enough of it for us to see that this is not o be missed as part of the visit. You then visited the 5th floor where there was the Wieza Matematyczna – with all sorts of astronomy instruments and finally you had the views of the Oder River from the Universities central tower. This is a very safe vista area and well worth the effort.

We had seen the University building from the outside and had not even considered it being open to the public until we happened to look up and see people on the public area of the Mathematical Tower. Once inside you can buy for different areas but have to do a minimum of two. We definitely wanted to do the Mathematical Tower and then picked Aula Leopoldina as our second area......We were not disappointed.
Aula Leopoldina is a ceremonial hall with fabulous paintings adorning the ceilings and walls . Having taken numerous pictures we then wandered up the stairs to the Mathematical tower where we were able to absorb aerial views of the City. Great place

We wanted to visit this beautiful building, but it was nearly impossible.
It is a long time ago that I have met such an impolite person, a young girl at the cashier (20th of September 2015, 11 a.m.)
When we did ask she did not even react and expected not to be disturbed while listening to the music on her headphones.
We wanted to pay by credicard and she only said: NO!!
Then we ask if we could pay in EURO. Again: NO!!
No excuse, Nothing!!!
If Wroclaw University wants to be worldopen, you should put other people in places where a lot of tourists are.
She did not help us at all, how we could get a ticket or where we could find a cash machine.
What a pitty for such a nice attraction.
