Typical covered market - many different stations filled with produce, meat, flowers, pet care, clothing, etc. the main floor is loud and can be busy - take care to be aware of surroundings as it seems a prime place for pickpockets. Second floor is a bit quieter with souvenirs, textiles, key makers, etc. not a must-see but if you are... More

This is a nice place to get fresh produce. There were a number of different vendors so one could shop around.

Covered market selling meat, fruit, flowers and lots of different things. The flower arrangements were huge and amazing. Shops upstairs. Fruit looked great and I had some very chocolatey hot chocolate. Mmm.

This is a bustling place where you can buy everything. Worth looking at the meat, the different fruit and vegetables, the wonderful array of dried fruit, and the stall after stall of wreaths and lamps to put on the grave of your loved one. There are cafes for a cup of tea, or you can have your lunch with all... More

I'm a big fan of Market Halls. And it's not only the South European countries that house famous ones - think of Stockholms Saluhall. Now we can put Wroclaws' Market Hall on our list of Market Halls we enjoyed. Do go there when you're in Wroclaw, you won't regret it. The outside looks like an old factory, or a railway... More

Markets, and especially covered markets, are addictive, all over the world. Here you will find the products the locals buy, and the specialties they value. Wroclaw’s is no exception. It is not very big, but crammed with stalls selling special products. At the sides are small booths selling food and drink. And, apart from the local produce, there are several... More

What a wonderful building. A must for anyone interested in architecture (or markets!) A splendid tower and frontage with a beautiful doorway, and inside amazing concrete trusses (which must have been very innovative in 1908!) holding up the glass and iron roof. The building somehow survived the destruction of the last war and is very much in use today, with... More

Interesting building with florists, fresh food and restaurants. Even a few shops for souvenirs, shoe repair, etc.

Even if the Market Hall has just a single entrance of beauty - the others are of old style and nearly untouched for more the changes of politics came - even if so this place is a must for each visitor to Wroclaw from my point of view. It´s an open invitation to polish lifestyle!
