About
Guided tours in English: Tuesday - Saturday at 12:00 and 3::00 p.m. In the Stained Glass Museum, exhibition spaces intertwine with the old stained glass workshop, functioning since 1902. The visitors can observe the process of stained glass creation, in the warm atmosphere of the historic workshop, directly above the heads of artists and craftsmen. For this reason visiting the museum is possible only with a guide and starts with at least two people. Ticket prices per person (including our English guide): adults 42 PLN, student 35 PLN, family (2+2) 140 PLN Visitors can also book workshops with master craftsmen and make their own stained glass souvenir. There are three workshops options: 2 hrs, 3 hrs or 2 days long, at the price 199 PLN, 280 PLN or 1100 PLN per person respectively. The price in each case includes: - guided tour of the museum and workshop - coffee break - creation of stained glass object under the artist's guidance - your own stained glass object to take home.

Unluckily I was alone, minimum 2 person for the tour, but speaking with the manager, has been possible visited the museum join me to local schoolchildren.
The museum is very interesting and if you don't understand the English or polish, u can buy a cheap brochure can explain the process of glass manufacture.

We booked the stained glass museum tour and workshop on a whim while we were already in Krakow and I definitely do not regret it! Our tour guide Monika was super knowledgeable and also friendly. Learning about the process of making stained glass was interesting as it is a craft that quite often gets overlooked and seeing the pieces on display is incredible. Then after a short coffee break you can try out the techniques yourself. The direction and instruction from Monika was clear and it’s a great souvenir to take home. The workshop and museum tour were our highlight of the trip to Krakow. Please please visit this attraction, you will not regret it. 😃😃😃

Great idea to take a sneak peak at how the stained glass process works behind the closed doors. 2hr workshops gave the possibility to chose a design and do it from scratch. Nice atmosphere, helpful and positive instructor and well spent time. I highly recommend especially then after the stained glass piece is done you can take it home with you as a memorable gift.

While looking for an activity for the early part of the day we came across this museum. Turned out to be one of the highlights of our Krakow visit. We had an exclusive tour with an extremely knowledgeable employee that explained every detailed aspect of the stained class making process. It is both simple yet complex and the extraordinary results lasts for an eternity! Highly recommend this activity!

My wife and I both learned a lot and very much enjoyed our workshop at Witrazu. After showing us many examples of stained glass to highlight different features of its design, we got to make our own pieces.

Our guides led us through the full process of making stained glass windows. We did all of this under the careful and patient supervision of our guides, Monika and Joanna, whose English, enthusiasm, and expertise were fantastic. We signed up for the longer 3-hour class, glad that we had the extra time to practice and learn. The croissant and tea they provided as part of the class were delicious.

As an artist and stained glass maker myself, this was one of my reasons for visiting Krakow. (I could have gone anywhere else in the world.)

I occasionally go on holiday alone. Although my partner or friends join me sometimes, I like to freedom to please myself and go alone. Their free time work commitments don't always suit mine.

On entering the reception I was told that one person isn't enough to do a tour. A single ticket might not bring in a much money but how many single tourists or visitors don't attend because of this. A year's worth of single entry does add up.

I was offered one further date, but I booked on a walk run by 'Guru walks' The walks are free but one can offer a donation at the end. I gave the guide 200 zlopty for a differently themed walk.

The box office said said 'I should bring another person', which isn't really practical to ask someone from Scotland to join me then are there.

There didn't seem further dates during my stay that I can attend.

When I tried to visit I had 5000 zloty, plus my bank card. Without a tour, I didn't seem to have much opportunity to buy anything else, or in a buying mood, while there.

I am often in a generous mood, such as the 200 zloty, for the guided walking tour yesterday. Depending on the stained glass and their attitude I might have given a substantial contribution for a private tour.

It's quite a bad attitude arrive alone you get nothing, if there's with more than one then you get access to the museum and workshop.

I have been extremely generous with money, high tips at cafes and I've tipped musicians at the end of concerts, despite having a paid a ticket, I've given musicians a lot of money to say thank you. There's the local economy tourist support: museums, restaurants, concerts, taxis.

The two person rule is on their website, but it isn't very prominent. I only discovered it after I left. It never occurred to me there would be such a rule. I've never experienced in this country or abroad. There's no way someone buying a ticket knows if there is one one that day.

For an art museum, and a working studio space, it seems to care more about money than allowing an artist ( painter) and I do stained glass too back home,

Artist, often work alone. Artists, also sometimes travel alone too.

Very disappointed. I'll not return to Krakow, and probably not Poland again.

I had a wonderful time, the tour is a very unique experience as the workshop is still active and you can see the craftsmen at work. Our guide, Anna was extremely friendly and had a broad knowledge on the subject. Normally, I find guided tours rather uninteresting and bland but this was such a refreshing example! I would recommend it to everyone, even if someone is not well-aquainted with art in general.

Very individual workshop, I felt like a real student working with master and being introduced for work in a company. I could have done everything by myself, I used the same devices as are used by craftsmen. In the studio I felt like "one of them", not like an intruder. During the workshop you can freely talk to your master and get to know more than during regular group tour.
