Find Zakrzowek on Google images and You'll know you want to see it. It's a huge body of water made in old quarry. Only local people know it and love it. It's huge, beautiful, with crystal water, surrounded with park and rocks with amazing views, you'd never expect something like this in the very heart of Cracow. Best place to rest, appreciate nature, take some sunbath, meet local people and students.

Beautiful, clear water to swim in. You can also hire a kayak for very cheap! It does cost to enter (12zl) but it is worth the expense. Make sure to wear good shoes as it is very rocky and there is smashed glass in places....More

A wonderful place to see during a sunny day. Totally unexpected, despite its beauty, still many people don't know it. However there isn't much place to sit and chill.

Been there since mid 90' many times. It was much more charming in past. Last time it was taken by City, they made some weird fencys, "swiming pools". In past was more virgin.

Really recommend this place when the weather is nice! So chilled out and heaps of space to yourself. Make sure you come prepared though, mainly with food and drink and a picnic rug as the terrain isn't great to sit on. There are holes in...More

We walked from Old Town which ended up being quite a long walk, but doable of you want! The quarry is a beautiful blue color and clean for swimming! I would recommend walking further into the park than the first entrance as it was less...More

We rented bikes on a sunny morning and made the short trip to the quarry. Perfect for a morning activity when the weather is hot. But if a hidden gem!

Rocky cliffs, almost no beach, few mild descents into the water. Lifeguards' boat tied just in front of one of them. Mostly visited by local enthusiasts, some older, some young and a bit noisy. Jumping from the cliffs is forbidden, nevertheless some try it anyway....More

Not sure where the yellow hostel is, but basically any tram going to "Czerwone Maki" will take you there. You get off at Norymberska and walk right, it will take you 10 minutes to get to the quarry rim.
