The Slowacki Theatre is an amazing piece of architecture that when viewed for the first time looks stunning. The architecture is stunning and although I never ventured into the theatre I could really appreciate the magnificent building that it is. Modelled on the Paris Opera House the theatre was not built without courting a certain amount of controversy as they... More

We didn't go inside but the building itself is worth te visit. A huge theatre in an architectural style very different from the rest of the old city, in what I believe is a neoclassical frame.

We have not been in this theatre but always have a look at the amazing architecture when in Krakow. Easily found close to the Florian gate. The building is a lovely colour and is covered in sculptured faces and flowers. The front of the theatre has some lovely statues on the top and there are plenty of heads adorning the... More

At end of September I had visited Teatr Słowackiego to quite famous performance "Tango Piazzolla". The performance was outstanding specially the Great music, played live by the band "Tango Bridge" led by Grzegorz Frankowski, they played the most beautiful hits of Piazzolla and obviously passionate tango that will take us into the world of the senses and desires. Ofcourse you... More

as a building it's very beautiful, but as a Theater it does not have anything to offer, same old plays since years. I would recommend it only for those who are interested in this type of architecture, but definitely not to go to see a performance

I wanted to see a show in this theater. It would have been a perfect trip with a show in a historic theater. Unfortunately the tickets get sold quite ahead of time. If you plan to see any performance, plan ahead of time. Experience will be quite a time travel. Well what is not a time travel in Krakow!
