Even if you are not christian, you cannot avoid to visit it, the architecture is so impressive and it's one of the most beautiful Basilique that I've visited so far.

Right on Krakow main square, unbelievable wood carved altar. A small admission fee is required. The altar is opened @11:45 and remains open for about 4 or five hours. This is a must see on the square

Amazing views from the top of the tower. It is definitely worth the almost 300 steps!! Also, the inside of the cathedral is breath taking. There is so much detail in the design it is unreal.

We just turned up on the day and got a ticket..We were there Easter week and saw the opening of the altar and had no problem. As AndrzejK0725 mentioned above..Do visit the top of the tower also...Absolutely stunning!

The Altar is opened just before noon and, from what I remember the guide saying, it closes just after 17.00. I wanted to see the Altar closed but never managed to return in time. I hope this helps.

You can see the church without an admission charge at any time, but you cannot get close to the altar. I'm not sure whether admission to the part of the church near the altar is free, but it's not very expensive in any event. More
