We went here as part of our Free Walking Tour of Old Krakow, our guide actually studied here - although the campus is elsewhere these days - twice a day there's a 'show' Ok it's a glorified cuckoo clock with music and wooden figures but...More

We stopped off here to see the clock figurines perform a show which is every odd hour (9,11,1 and 3) It is free to enter the courtyard however there is a fee for the museum. Worth stopping in for a look if passing by.

The first, the oldest and the most acclaimed University in Poland. This particular set of buildings dates back to the 1300's and is where the original medieval college was first permanently set up. It is very well worth visiting. The tour is highly recommended, It...More

A must during your visit to Cracow. The oldest building of the Jagiellonian University, still showing the atmosphere of studying in the Middle Ages. Furnished rooms of professors, stuba communis, the aula.... Picturesque courtyard. Guided tours, small fee. A pleasantly spent hour.

Entry is free from the street. A remaining structure of the original university. John Paul II and Copernicus both went to it. Did not have the opportunity to go into the museum section but I am sure, like everything in Poland it was professionally done.

I walked the area as there's a lot to see in the general area of the University. Nothing much to see as far as the University itself and unsure if there's an actual tour of the school.

We were passing by an saw it was OK to go into the courtyard. This was quite interesting and although we couldn't go in there was a continuous screening of the inside.

I would also recommend doing the guided tour in English, it was very informative and the cost was minimal - just over £2 (and half price for me as a senior).
