Fantastic entrance to the museum through the ornate green door to one of the oldest universities in Europe, where you can still see the room that Copernicus studied amongst many others, very interesting tour done by knowledgeable university student.

The visit to Collegium Maius is a great way to be acquainted with the way universities were and all the way they moved on. And – to walk the same cobblestones Copernicus once walked. Wondrous feeling!

Many things to look at and it drips with hisotry. Fantastically preserved, furniture and sundry items. The tour was only 35 minutes and I would have liked more time in the rooms.

The tour of the university is well worth the price of admission. I was moved to tears by stories of the dedication of students, faculty, staff, and ordinary citizens that have kept the university going through so many difficult times. The architecture and surviving scientific instruments are astounding.

When we were there, the rain was pouring but a young couple - who had their photos there - was the sunbeam of the day! The building of the University was so magical to my son who is 14 and crazy about sciences. :)

The oldest building (1364) of the Jagiellonian University in the Old Town of Kraków, with a beautiful large courtyard with a picturesque old well in the middle of it. We love to visit the place in the evening, when it is quiet and peaceful with just a few tourists only. The courtyard has a special unique atmosphere, away from the... More

On the last day, we walked into the college and were astounded by the main building and its wonderful architecture. A bit disappointed we didn't get to see more, but if you have time I would recommend checking this place out!

The tour was really interesting thanks to a very good guide. It is very nice to see a building of this age still being used and not just turned into a museum. Since both of us work at Uppsala University it was really fun to visit another well preserved old university in Europe.

On the dot of o'clock, we watched the colourful figurines appear along with the other tourists there for the same reason! Then we went downstairs to the bright and airy basement for refreshments. We didn't pay to go in.
