This is the Jewish square, just outside the main synagogue. The area is mostly cafes now it seems but in front of the synagogue is a display on the history of the Jews in Poland and Krakow particularly. Actually to be more accurate, it is a history of anti semitism in Poland, by the Nazis and then the communists and ongoing. Tragic.
There is also a part of the old city wall just behind the synagogue.

A.K.A Jewish Square , a beautiful and interesting square in the old Jewish district of Krakow , important to those who want to know and feel about Jewish herritage in the city.
Over here (and surrounding area) you may find the Old Synagogue , Popper Synagogue (now a bookshop , the old Jewish cemetary , Jan Karski statue , the Rubinstein hotel , restaurants , cafes and a few shops , and some other interesting attractions .
Take your time , and make your cameras work .

Dzielnica Zydowska is the central plaza that opens up from the Old Synagogue ( Stara Synagoga ) .
There's lots of interest here ,the beautiful synagogue's such as Old Synagogue, Remuh Synagogue and Wolf Popper Synagogue, there's some really touching monuments relating to the plight of the Jewish faith during World War Two and of course you have the pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants on this square ,its such an exhilarating place to visit if you're in the Jewish Quarter, easy to locate, just walk along Ulica Szeroka.

This is a somehow somber little square called "The Jewish square", located just next to the old synagogue.
There's a memorial in the square and a big map of the old Jewish quarter.

Located in the heart of Kazimierz ( The Jewish Quarter ) is Dzienica Zydowska which is more commonly known as The Jewish Square.
Dominated by the Old Synagoge ,there are three other synagogues here plus some great restaurants ,one of the most beautiful aspects of this square is Ulica Szeroka ,a wonderful and beautiful street that a joy to walk down ,all in all a lovely square and area to visit if you're in the area
