One of the main things to see. The Coppernicus statue is located by the river just around the castle.

Copernicus sits proudly outside the impressive gateway leading to his former home when he was governor of this beautiful city of Olsztyn. His home is filled with interesting objects and artefacts from Poland's rich heritage of amazing history.

You can find this lovely statue of the famous Polish astronomer Copernicus near the Castle. It is very popular among the tourists who rub his nose for good luck and pose for pictures on his lap. What a simple but nice attraction!

Had to have a photo with the well known local hero who was very multi-talented. It was a Tuesday and rather quiet, so very lucky to have to ourselves.

Lovely bronze statue. The nose is very shiny because people rub it for good luck (I think). Good idea to take a selfie with it!
