We visited the castle museum and some moments to share: one will have a so called "guide" to accompany Your visit. No real language skills, at least this guide we had. We expected more castle visit than the mixed exposition of archaeological findings, Nicolaus Copernicus and different paintings.
Copernicus hall is really relevant and interesting. Showing the castle itself is not so good.

One of the main tourist attractions in Olsztyn, this caslte is quite old but well kept. It houses a museum in the courtyard as well as the famous baba pruska and other interesting sculptures. Apart from the caslte as such, there is also an amphitheatre.

This castle goes back to the 14th century. The castle's wings are arranged around a large central courtyard. On one side, there is a large brick tower - you can climb up and enjoy the view of Olsztyn and in particular its old town... On the other side of the courtyard, the three floors of the building host various exhibits, of which the one dedicated to astronomer Copernicus is by far the most interesting one. Copernicus was by far the most prominent administrator of the castle in the early 16th century - very educational exhibit about his work....

This was a great castle and a good visit
With some fantastic displays and paintings to help with bringing the rich history and events of the actual castle and city in general.
I spent a good hour or so just taking in the vast amount of events and people that have lived here throughout the ages.
There is afair amount of information in English but not all the rooms with the amazing paintings had any English
this did not really disminish the visit.
Lots of artifacts and a time line guiding you through the changing history
There are staff on hand in most rooms , should you ahve any questions or queries
Overall i is worth you to spend some time and you can learn something about this underrated city

As great part of the places in Poland, also here is possible to see ancient evidence of Copernicus life in this castle, in particular some inscription on the wall of the castle. The visit is suggested both for the palace itself that for a exhibition of very old tools and paintings. There are no elevators and many stairs, so please consider this point if you have small child or other.

After visiting many European castles, this one seems smaller in size, however, it is just as beautiful and interesting. If you love Copernicus, this place is a must to see. Many wonderful exhibits.

This fourteenth-century Gothic castle is very pleasant and easy to visit. The museum collection is interesting especially the exhibits dedicated to Copernicus. The famous astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus was by far the most well-known administrator of this castle but many other famous Poles stayed there too. Nicolaus Copernicus protected the castle from the Teutonic siege.

There's several parts to see here all arranged around a large courtyard. Big brick built tower on one side, great views from the top, old granary and administration building opposite. Includes a piece of wall painting by Copernicus himself from his 5 years spent here.

The castle is a beautiful building, a large, but not huge brownish-red palace with a magnificent tower. The exhibition inside is quite interesting, mostly about the life and work of Copernicus, but there are also remnants of ancient times that were excavated in the vicinity. But I liked the building itself with its picturesque balconies and its attractive inner yard even more.
