The palace has been described many times. Is it accessible for a wheelchair user? Not really. A cobbled/partly paved road leads to the palace. We did not find ramps leading to the interior of the palace. Palace gardens. The upper one is accessible to a person in a wheelchair. It's worth visiting. Beautiful flower cobs. Sculptures. You will spend nice moments there.

The Branicki palace shows some of the grandeur of old Polish landowners. It has a great park in two styles of landscaping. It is a pity only a small portin of the palace can be visited.

A lovely grand building in the centre of the town. There is a Post Office at the back! To the rear there is an Italian garden, but the one at the front with the fountains is better.

Branicki Palace and especially the palace gardens are worth visiting. It is worth relaxing in the garden on a clear day, any season [well, except in winter]. Currently, the palace houses the Rector's Office of the Medical University of Bialystok.

I didn't go inside the Palace, but the late baroque architecture outside is amazing. Garden behind the Palace and the sculptures makes incredible impression. Peaceful place to relax and admire the beauty of palace

A wonderful baroque palace with a rich history, a real pearl of the Podlasie region and more. Inside there is a beautiful staircase, aula and a terrace from which one can admire the garden park and the whole surroundings. The only minus is a fact that it is very difficult to find a ticket office and all information about sightseeing, interior and I am sure that many tourists had the same problem. I hope that in the near future, responsible persons will take this into account and simply put plates, signs, etc. where to buy tickets and at what times. The area around the Branicki Palace is magnificent and perfect for relaxing walks. An absolute "must see" in Bialystok.

A surprise we didnnit expect in Bialystok, the park around the castle is very nice, we had a good walk before the dinner. It is very close to the city center, all in all it is worth a visit

Bialystok is proud of its castle which is right in the center of town. The original structure is from late 17th century, but its glory times were during the mid 18th century when Jan Klemens Branicki, was the most important hetman in Poland-Lithuania only second in power to the king. By now I know his name by heart as he pops up in almost each and every story told on Bialystok and his picture can be seen in most museums and historic buildings in the region.
As most nobility at the time Jan Klemens was very much influenced by French culture. It can be observed in the architecture of the palace, but especially in the beautifully restored lay-out the palace garden. The palace was 70% destroyed by the Nazis in 1944. Its rebuilding in 1950 was a matter of national pride.
There are tours organized from the pharmacy museum office on the palace premises.They do not cost extra, but are included in the entrance fee to this museum.
Most tours are in Polish language, but the guide is always willing to provide information in English as well.
Visit highly recommended.

If anyone would ask a random person from Białystok what is the most characteristic place to visit in the city, everyone would answer The Branicki Palace (even though the most of people have never been inside of it!). Sadly, because of the tremendous war damages after the II WW, the building we are watching today is not the same as it was in its golden age. Nevertheless it is still a a beautiful mansion rebuild just after the war on the purposes of hosting the Medical Academy. Nowadays University, like never again after Jan Klemens Branicki, is taking care of the grounds, so beside of the renovated palace in the baroque style, visitors can also enjoy restored gardens and fountains. Absolutely must see during your stay in Białystok!

Enchanting baroque gardens and a beautiful palace that was destroyed during the war by the Germans. Currently, it houses a Medical University.
