This is in a little park just across from Gdynia Glowna -- the central train station. The statues of the people are haunting, but the "left behind" dog following them (and the child's waving goodbye just hits the heart.

another simple and expressive monument. Situated at a road junction across from the railway station it is probably missed by many. One of Gdynia's many statues reminding of the past.

Very beautiful statue, and reminded me of the one in Dublin, paying tribute to the victims of the great famine, in Ireland. This statue means so much to the people in Gdynia. Go to the Emigration Museum, if you are interested in this topic.

It;s near to main train station in Gdynia, it's worth to see both of places. Monument is really beautiful and touching, so real to situation. It happened for real, when germans occupied Gdynia, and immidietely ousted people on the street with handbag only. I let...More

This monument is situated near the Central Railway station in Gdynia. It shows how sad and difficult was the time of Second World War... the lonely dog, sitting and waiting for his master had stolen y heart
