Great museum with a lot on display from all different counties and cultures. English translation would been beneficial but you still can appreciate items on display (google camera translate does help).
I had not realised that there were so many steps to climb to see all levels, but it was. certainly worth it. The information and stories about amber were in themselves fascinating and I particularly liked the high floors and all the superb designs by...More

located in the old town next to the christmas market, it has an amazing little courtyard with cobbled road and carved figurines on the wall which leads to the entrance and a 2 storey exhibit rooms feels very medievil
If you don't want to climb stairs then this is not for you! It was interesting to read about Amber but the building it is in is amazing. It also houses the armoury which was sadly not open.
very nice and interesting musuem. a torture cellar located in the basement which is a spooky addition to the tour. the museum is located in an old tower and there are many stairs to climb and not accessible to wheelchair users

Will take you 1 hour more or less. Not too much to see but nice location and it s quite cheap, good experience
The amber history and exhibitions are very interesting. The visit to the prison cells and most of all the enactment of the tortures is very impressive. Not recommendable for children nor soon after eating.
