This is a lovely statue, and it's worth a visit. It is right in the Old Town center so it's almost impossible to miss.

This fountain is in a shopping area where there are no cars!!! The fountain is located near the town hall and is a great place to meet if your group wants to split up for a bit. This was extremely convenient since we were in Gdansk for St. Dominic's Fair at the end of July.

What's there to say that hasn't already been said. This is an outstanding fountain, much loved by the local pigeons who can always be counted on to perch inappropriately on the head of one of the historical figures and may even anoint you (I was "blessed" twice on my trip!) It's certainly worth a snap or three, especially if you're... More

I have never reviewed a fountain before but this one deserves a mention as it is such a key landmark in the city. At night it looks extra spectacular too.

Always plenty of people taking photographs at this fountain on Long Market. Due to the height and grandeur of the surrounding buildings, it is a little insignificant. A popular meeting point.

As Poland's chief historic port of course the natural choice for pride of place in the centre of the city is the Roman mythological god of the sea. Although Neptune's bronze is mounted atop a rather lovely rococo fountain placing him well above the heads of locals and tourists, he's utterly dwarfed under the soaring spire of the town hall.... A large and artistically dynamic statue atop the fountain from 1633, designed by Abraham van den Blocke, a Dutch artist, and teeming with other dynamic scultpure around the basin. It stands at the intersection of the Main Town Hall and the Artus Court in the Main Town square, Długi Targ, or Long Market. It organizes the space and provides viewers... More

When you see it, immediately reliazed that you came to a sea-city! It's one of the Gdańsk's most femous structures and it deserves it!! Should just stop and take a photo with him!!

Looks like a piece of old Medieval structure, brought rightaway to the street of a modern city! Lights installed very nicely, the statue looks magnificently especially in the twilight!
