The old town in Gdansk is really beautiful an interesting. It also has a lot of great restaurants. You should definetely stay at a hotel in that area if you visit this nice city.

Only there for 4 days but loved it. Would highly recommend for a long weekend. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Cheap compared to UK so a big plus!

This old town is by far the most interesting, most beautiful, most time-spanning (from the 15th c to the 19th c) by far of all the old towns I've visited. Fantastic buildings, museums, sculptures scattered around, and all the trappings of life here.

A cozy Old Town street full of tourists, cafes, restaurants and souvenirs. Most languages are English or Russian, in the center there are many parking places.

My place to relax and calm down senses - just to sit in many cafes, go to church and have lovely late dinner. Many surprises every time I visit - new restaurants, new small boutiques. Place like no other.

If you're coming into Gdynia then no. If it's midweek the cabs are very reasonable.
