Well done. From the structure to its contents. Historically accurate and we'll documented. Takes too much credit for the role of Solidarity to bring about the fall of the Soviet Empire - but otherwise it's most instructive and a superlative time capsule. Definitely time well...More

This building helps one to see the impact that the Solidarity movement had on gaining freedom for Poland and getting that country out from behind the Iron Curtain in the 1980's and 90's. An interesting monument to the workers of the Polish uprising is outside.

As you approach this specially designed building (wrapped in steel representing a new build in a shipyard) you see the 3 crosses, a monument to those killed. A guided tour took us through various levels showing the struggles of Polish workers against the communist regime.

This must be visited whilst in Gdansk the architecture is mind blowing and the whole thing is a wonderful memorial to the shipyard trade union. Also there is a great view of the city and shipyards from the roof top viewing area.

This is one of the best museums I have been to. You certainly do need two hours to walk around and take it all in. I would say that it is not for children (as other reviewers have said) as it is more an adult...More
