As a ship geek, this was amazing. All areas of the ship are accessible and you are on board as long as you want. There are some lovely views along the river. Soldek is very important to the city of Gdansk and this shows throughout...More

We bought a combo ticket to the National Maritime museum. It would be OK visit with kids, but not much for grown-ups, unless specifically interested in ships. There is not much to see how day-to-day life looked, except for the mess and rather bare galley....More

The SS Soldek is an old steam powered freighter tied up in Gdańsk and is now a museum. A small fee of about £1.70 will get access to a maritime relic. About 30 minutes to an hour is all you need for this central attraction....More

Inexpensive museum where you are able to freely wander round a historic ship (first ship built in Poland after the second word war). Learn what it was like to work, sleep and eat at sea. Worth a visit.

Visited this as part of our combined ticket for Zuraw Museum and Maritime Museum. Couldn't use the ferry which is normally included, as it wasn't operated, so had to walk all the way round. Self-guided tour - basically wandering around the ship which was decommissioned...More
