Very busy with people enjoying themselves in the many bars, restaurants, ice cream shops, coffee houses and shops. Always noise and something going on, street acts, musicians and football keepy uppers and a crazy old guy dancing 24 hours a day holding an old transistor radio to his head. Great for people watching in addition to having fun. Always feels safe unlike the Ramblers in Barcelona which this very much reminds me off. Most times of the day, this square is so packed with people it's hard to appreciate anything without being bumped or have someone walk or stand in your view. It is what it is, it's a main central hub of the city and tourist sector. Try to get here when there are less crowds to really appreciate the architecture.

This square is surrounded by beautiful old buildings. There is the old town hall, in which is a museum now, you can find here countless restaurants and cafes, many shops, there is also a post office. It is a very touristic place, so there is crowd during all day.

A History that can be seen at every corner of Gdansk, the port city off the Baltic coast in Poland. Reconstructed after WW2, which had completely finished Poland from the world map, Gdansk is worth a visit for its quaint streets, especially the Dlugi Targ, the main street at the heart of the town. Dlugi Targ, surrounded by churches, old buildings like the Town Hall tower and beautiful cafes shawdoed by the towering Golden Gate. A walk around Motlawa river waterfront gives you a view of cargo carriers - symbol of its trading history. Do not miss to buy Amber jewellery!

I fall in love with this town and especially with old town. Fabulous architecture, historical buildings, many of them were destroyed in second world war period, but renovated in original condition. There are a lot of restaurant, cafe, bars and souvenirs shops. Highly recommend for visiting.

Every time we walked through here we saw something new. The buildings are beautiful and colourful with so many interesting features and quirks, everywhere you look.
In every gap between the buildings there is something else to see behind, spires rising in the next street. Really pretty and a photographer's dream.

Very nice hotel right on the Main Street Dlugi Targ with lots of pavement cafes and restaurants just outside. Spacious modern rooms with large bed and bathroom with great shower.
We did have a problem at check in as the hotel did not have a record of our room being paid for although we did have a room voucher from TravelRepublic. All the staff are really friendly but special thanks to Karina who took a copy of the voucher and told us not to worry she would contact TR on our behalf and try to sort it out. She rang us on the room phone to say everything was okay and to enjoy our stay. She is a credit to the hotel.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Charming square, and probably better in the off season (November) b/c of no crowds, despite it being cold. Lovely part of Gdansk, which is such a pretty and quaint town--at least Old Town. Definitely worth a wander through/around. Check out Neptune's Fountain as well.
