This open air museum consists of 3 parts. We started with the Water Mill Valley which requires that you join a guided tour. The barn filled with equipment and vehicles had lots of information in English. The only problem was that the guide moved on...More

This is a 3 part open air Museum. Plan on staying a day in each section or you will definitely miss out on some fun stuff. Plan on attending a show at their open air stage. Lots of programs during the summer.

Don't miss the Mill section if you are mechanically minded. They demonstrate all of the machines working with water power.

We managed to visit the place even with the baby pram. Worth to visit including the inside museum. The bistro inside is very good with local specialities.

In-depth outdoor experience featuring immensely devolved view into daily lives of local highlanders, sheep herders, and provincial rangers. Various historical wooden hill-top settlements have been gently disassembled under supervision of history's experts, trucked over, and reassembled under the same supervision on their spots. Quite an...More

Several old buildings have been moved here to replicate a 18-19th Century village. You can see some crafts being made and actually post a letter from on old post office. A few small places to eat within the village. A great experience.

If you are in Roznov, it is definitely worth a visit. It is not too time demanding, the village takes approx. 30 to 45 minutes and you can see how the post office, apotheke, the house of a townsman etc. looked like. Suitable for children...More
