It's absolutely boring. When you stay in front of it, watch it and try to understand what is the astronomical thing in it, you get bored really fast, so not worth visiting.

This is a modern version of astronomical clock. Unfortunately even my brother, an engineer who lives in Brno, could not figure out how the clock works and what time it was.

Absolutely nothing to do with astronomy but all about the city's siege by the Swedes. It was fun trying to work out how it worked over the days I was there. You get a sort of chime from it every 15 minutes that sounds like...More

Nothing interesting.. you stand in front of it, try to figure out what it is, how it is working, but in the end you give up. I do not think this is one of the top things to see in Brno. Yes it is in...More

People try to catch the marbles that it shoots out, supposed to be good luck! Right in main square. I did see people waiting about, but did not witness the event. An oddity.

The short-lived daily performance of the clock, which reflects an important memoire for Brno, is a delight to witness. Modest and inventive, it is indeed a special monument and deserves a visit at precisely 11:00.

Interesting idea based in the historical background. At 11 a.m. one glass ball comes out of this object and everyone can take it. It looks kind of phallic :) Worth of seeing and making photos.

Right in the middle of the square is this big astronomical clock in black. It's a shame that right next to this landmark, a commercial shop is situated. So now it is not so attractive to take pictures.

There quite a few funny stories about this clock. If you want to tell the time it is quicker to have a look at the church which is a bit behind the square. The guy who designed it had also problems with explaining how to...More

The clock stands in the middle of the square, so you will surely see it while walking around the town. Don't expect much though.
