We went through the museum with an English-speaking guide who was able to answer our questions and share information about the displays (a lot of the text was in Czech and only Czech). I learned a lot.

It sounds like a fairy tale, but happens periodically - once a year at night the museum is full of visitors, full of music and there are guided tours and workshops too. Ladies wear lovely costumes and they navigate you throughout the museums. If you...More

We had heard about the unique Museum of Romani Culture in Brno, but were unprepared for the originality of its presentation - a total immersion experience of sound and displays. Similarly, we hadn't expected such a depth of information, especially about the grim WWII era....More

This museum should be obligartory for all the neonazi people. If they learn a bit, they wouldnt be racist. Its a small museum explaining gipsy culture and history.

Definitely worth paying a short visit during your stay. It's on the walking distance from downtown, althoguh not in the most representative neighborhoods in Brno.

The Romani people started moving from India towards Europe approximately 1000 years ago. They have been part of the European constellation for centuries. Still few Europeans -including myself- know anything about them and are mainly guided by prejudice. The museum is providing a vivid account...More

I am so glad I visited the Museum. I thought I knew about the Romani culture, but touring the Museum made me realize that my knowledge was skewed. It was wonderful knowing the facts about the Romani people.

Do you know any lady that does not like gold, silver and beautiful things decorating wrists, fingers, neck, hair, ears, just any part of her body? I am one of the fans of jewelry made of anything, even of plastic. This unique exhibition invites you...More
