I really wanted to visit this memorial when I found out it is not that far from Prague. I was visiting Europe alone and had never used the Prague metro (although I was very familiar with the Vienna one). I managed to get to the...More

It is a strong experience and it's the history of my country, so every Czech should visit this place. Examination with guide is so good.

Booked a shared tour to terezin with Pavel batel. Unfortunately he was unwell but sent the wonderful Michaela in his place. Ended up being a very small tour (just 3 people) which was a bonus as we felt the attention to detail and cold spend...More

I must say I had never been on a Concentration camp before. The feeling of the horrors of history are there. You'll learn everything you need to learn on this very small town. If you are interested in this kind of history. Come visit it.

I last visited this grim Gestapo prison some 30 years ago. Then I was the sole visitor and the gloomy winter day added to the oppressive atmosphere. Now this is very much a 'tourist attraction' and one could be put off by throngs, chatting, pick...More

Was such an eye-opening experience. The town itself looks spookily unchanged and the buildings and roads are in a very bad state of disrepair, but that's exactly what you want when you go here. Step outside of the "main attractions" and wander around the back...More

We took the day tour from Prague on tour bus with helpful guide. Comfortable ride. Would not have wanted to miss our only visit to a concentration camp and crematorium, but still difficult to fathom the horrors inflicted on so many people and type of...More

I think enough has been said here about Pavel. I cannot add much more to what has already been said about his Terezin tour. The only thing I would say is I came to Prague as an add on to a Danube river cruise. The...More

This is perhaps not helpful but actually you won't find anyone as passionate as Pavel. Can only suggest rearranging your schedule to go with him - you won't regret it!!

My husband has stamina problems and cannot walk more than a few hundred yards without resting, he is very interested in this type of history so it would be a shame for us to miss when in Prague. My question is is it easy walking, are there plenty of resting places and does the museum cover a very large are Thank You

Hopefully my advice is not too late for you. My wife and I just did this tour with Pavel Batel at the end of May. To answer your question as directly as possible, yes there is walking required to fully appreciate this tour... More
