Pavel brought this barracks to life. Unlike other camps this one remains the same as it did during the war. The family effects make this very real. You can see the theater as well as other common areas.

In the Magdeburska Kasarna is also a small theater were I danced on the stage. I was 8 years old living in the ghetto at the children home. For me it was something very special to see again the stage celerbrated my 80 years birthday....More

Part of the memorial dedicated to the culture, music and literary creation in the ghetto. Don't miss small room with movies in the courtyard.

Visited Terezin with Pavel. Whole day was very educational and emotional. Have we learned from past history? i don't think so.! RIP the Persecuted

Visited the museum after first going to the small fortress. Artifacts of life in the Ghetto are well portrayed and preserved. Very interesting information about ghetto artists and how inhabitants used theatre and arts to escape the cruelty of the war and ghetto.

Magdeburg barracks are very well maintained. Exhibition of artists are divided in sections. Ladies who are working there will play sample of Brundibar opera by Hans Krasa created for Terezin children. It was so moving..
