Neighbourhood: Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.

A total waste of time and money. "Royal orchestra" represented by 6 people (?), is mediocre level at best, too many mistakes for a short concert. I mean they play this concert every evening for a whole month 7 p.m. Dont the "Royal orchestra" have more importamt things to do every now and then like playing in actual royal opera house?
The pipe organ operator is another story. This person can barely play, i dont think i have ever heard such a bad irgan performance.
Avoid this at all costs! Use the money on trdelnik instead, these things are seriously good.

I was able to attend a classical music concert. A treat for the ears and what a pleasure to rediscover these classics in this superb place
We were in front but ultimately we could have taken places further away and enjoyed it just as much.
The sound of the instruments spreads throughout the church for the pleasure of our ears

One of two beautiful churches located at Krizovnicke Square which you can find after crossing the Charles Bridge from Mala Strana (Lesser Town). The scene is particularly stunning at night when the buildings are illuminated. It is a part of the Klementinum and was constructed beginning in the late 1500s with continued renovation into the 1700s.

The Church of St. Salvator is a building in the very center of Prague, next to the Old Town Square. Construction began in 1611. The church has a 52-meter tower and a baroque upper floor with semicircular windows, pilasters and cornices.
Now the church belongs to the Czech Brotherhood Evangelical Church, which has much in common with Protestants. It hosts religious weddings and weddings, as well as official and symbolic weddings.

I attended a church concert. First of all, the artists were of low quality. They actually skipped one full movement (Spring) of the advertised Vivaldi concerto. False advertisement! The church is full of old and racist people. One old nasty woman actually told us to leave the church. I will never return to this place again.

A beautiful church in the old town of Prague, very close to the Old Town Bridge Tower.
It is part of the former Jesuit college Clementinum.
Construction began in 1578.
Worth seeing and interesting!!

I must assume that every tourist visiting Prague crosses the Charles Bridge. So If you just crossed from the Mala Strana side and are heading for the old town as soon as you come to the bottom of the bridge the church will be in front of you. You need to really look up to appreciate the church's beautiful Baroque facade. The large portico with the sandstone sculptures of the saints is particularly impressive. The church is equally beautiful inside and worth looking in, even if you are not ready or have time to take in a lengthy concert.
This church has not one but two organs, recently restored.
Classical concerts are perfomed here, as in all almost every church in Prague, so you have a lot off opportunities and choices.
More and more people are starting to realize that Prague is not just about beer.
And that's a good thing....

This concert was slightly more expensive than other wonderful concerts in Prague, and it was a huge disappointment. We were thrilled with the other concerts we attended in Prague.
At this place, everyone sat in pews and faced the front of the church, but the entire concert was conducted from the back of the church! Granted, the organ was at the back, but the singer also was at the back. As we weren't enjoying it, we tried to leave early - and guess what? The church was locked! We couldn't leave until it was over.
Extremely disappointing in all.

Photos don't do this little gem justice. I spent an hour here one evening listening to a string quartet playing Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" (650 Kč).The music was great and what better way to rest after pounding the streets all day (performance starts at 7pm). This church is breathtakingly ornate. The carvings in this church are exception and the paintings on the ceiling and hung on the walls demonstrate the skills and love of art that can be found throughout Prague. Even if you don't fancy the classical music, this is worth a trip.....just head for Charles Bridge

Discovering Prague offers abundance of Classical Concerts at many churches, we opted for St. Salvatore near our hotel in town. Locals I talked to pointed out that most concerts on flyers are private venues geared toward tourists and they go to Rudolfinum, National theatre & Municipal house, but the schedule did not work out for us and we wanted to try a Classical concert.

(1) Ambience of this old church is nice.
(2) Price is a little higher than other venues
(3) The church is long and narrow. Czech Orchestra is small and performs in front on the same level as seats. We sat in the mid-tier section (Row 13), and found the sound too faint and far-away; thus, it did not give the full effect of Orchestra and arias. Almost like having to strain to hear.

Bottom line is: it was just OK experience we would not repeat.
