I Love kampa Park and surrounding area. It is quaint, peaceful and relaxing,...yet you are only a few short steps to the Charles Bridge. The Park is a great place to kick back and relax. Views are terrific from this side of the bridge. Lots to do and see on this side. The Archibald by the bridge is a great... More

Make sure that you see the Segway-free Kampa when visiting prague. It is not far off the beaten track. Maybe ten minutes to walk from Charles Bridge. You will find a nice quiet resort to relax and enjoy a bit of nature. If you consider to have a coffee and a bite: Hold the horses right there and continue south... More

I like this park due to its atmosphere - people here are almost always by the rule very relaxed. Besides. just next to the park you have museum, market and nice pubs.

Don’t just hang around on the bridge at dawn, explore the foot of the bridge of both sides. Walking the Vltava banks is so calming at dawn. Hardly any soul in sight and you have the occasional boats and swans as company. Didn’t noticed this on my previous days, but the peaceful morning walk along the banks reveals many unexpected... Kampa you get if you get off the Charles Bridge, Prague Castle direction. It gets the picturesque streets of Prague (Mala Strana), one can see the John Lennon wall and if you go along the Vltava River, and come across the statue of a crying childs

Kampa Park is located at the base of the Charles Bridge on the castle side of the river. It's home to many good restaurants and hotels and if you visit at Christmastime there is a lovely Christmas market held here where many carolers gather to sing. Walking through it leads you to a nice park and places along the river... More

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
