A busy street leading up the hill, and a good place to go for a walk. The buildings are interesting. Look out for the pictures which used to make individual houses distinctive in the days before street numbering - look for the violins, the golden...More

I used Tram # 22 to visit the Castle for 2 consecutive days. On Day 2, instead of riding the tram again, I walked downhill from the Castle areas to the Malostranske Namesti or the Square near the Charles Bridge. The cobblestone street and steps...More

Nerudova St is a steep cobblestone street leading to the Castle from the Charles Bridge and has some great architecture here - Many stories as you climb this fairly steep slope. Many of the properties here are over a century old. This street is very...More

The only reason to walk along Prague’s infamous Nerudova Street is to reach the even more popular Charles Bridge. The bridge is a beautiful monument that is well worth visiting, if only to take in the amazing views of the city, the river, and the...More

This is a nice walk from Charles Bridge to the castle, it has interesting buildings and lots of souvenir shops (puppets etc) to browse on the way. If the funicular is closed this is also an easier walk up to the tower than through Petrin.

A very nice walk from the Prague castle towards Charles bridge. Full of souveneer shops and restaurants. The buiildings with the signs are very nice. Dont take a special tour to the place only on or from the castle.

interesting street but I went up early when mostly the shops were closed, in order to avoid the crowds going up to the castle. Along wiht most streets in prague this is lined wiht souvenir shops, bars and the occasional museum

Lovely part of old Prague in the castle district, very charming and popular. Good for photos. Can get crowded.

A steep climb from Lesser Quarter Square to Prague Castle exposes you to Baroque townhouses and mansions on each side of the street. Many of the properties have retained the painted signs that were the method of identifying the owner or business prior to house...More

Your experience in Prague will never be complete if

of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone
streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green
gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses.
Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history.
