You wouldn't think to go in there, but a bunch of good reviews sent me looking for this gem of a museum. It's a little off-putting at first as it can be rather empty, but don't let that fool you. The museum is well-curated and...More

When we arrived here, the sign said "open" as did the website. However, inside was just a huge pile of construction debris and several workers pounding plaster into more rubble.

This is one of the better specialised museums that you can visit: well-composed and informative. The staff is also really friendly and you are encouraged to ask more about things that interested you. There is also quite a bit about local cooking and restaurant-history.

Very interesting museum, covering food preparation since prehistory. Very friendly and informative host. Free mead tasting. A good choice for spending an hour or two on a rainy day.

square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle
in the background, is probably the most beautiful
square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere
