I went here to see the Opera "Le nozze di Figaro." Was a little disappointed that the guests don't dress up that much. I had on a bow tie but there were many people in jeans and street clothes. Oh well. It was a great Opera and I enjoyed it. One tip: Get seats along the middle: is hard to... More

If you plan early and order online, you can grab a couple of tickets to the opera in this beautiful theatre as used for the making of the movie Amadeus. Boxes are very reasonable compared to Western cities.

A most beautiful theatre, lovely box with a perfect view and excellent acoustics. A very good cast with talented Czech performers. We shall go again to see Don Giovanni later in the year.

This has to be one of the most beautiful theatres that I have had the privilege of visiting! I love all of the individual booths, and to see Don Giovanni in where it was first performed is just amazing! Would recommend this experience to all theatre lovers. It turns out that the company I bought the tickets online from was... More

5 Stars. Booked in the summer to see The Magic Flute late December. Collected tickets from the box office which contained, possibly, the least happiest person in all of Prague. Her aside, the theatre is lovely from the outside and nothing short of stunning inside. We were 4 rows from the orchestra......look, I'm not writing anymore, just go and be... More

On my trip to see where Mozart spent his final years at Bertramka, I was very pleased to get tickets in town for what was a truly incredible evening. Firstly, Don Giovanni was FIRST PERFORMED here back in the day in this beautiful small horseshoe shaped opera house. This makes matters slightly more profound. Looking down at the front side... And the small but opulent Estates Theatre was the ideal way to do it. Mozart himself conducted his operas here. We took our friends who are not opera devotees, but they loved the experience. If you're only ever going to attend the opera once, this is a great place to do it

We toured the Estates Theatre with our Tauck guide. Then we had inside guide who told us the history of the theater. The theater is a working one with performances in dramas, ballet and opera. Operas focus on the works of Mozart. The theater is a beauty. I did not have my camera with me so not photos but Tripadvisor... More

We have been to see two productions in this theatre, Don Giovanni and The Marriage of Figaro, both productions suited this intemit chamber opera house. On both occasions we booked on the day and couldn't have wished for better seats; bang centre stalls to the rear just on the rise, therefore we had a clear view of the stage. The... More

Amazing building where Mozart himself conducted. Saw Don Giovanni was an interesting adaptation of the work. Music was very good. Great evening

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
