This museum's highlight is a carefully crafted model of the city of Prague in the early 1800s.

Since I don't know a lot about Czech history and the main National Museum is still closed for renovations, I welcomed the opportunity to spend 2 hours here. Since Prague is an important city of Bohemia, this satisfied my interest in regional city.

Firstly we had a session (only for the both of us since there were no one else yet) of 3D cinema where we visited a model of Prague. Really a surprise. Then we enjoyed the marionettes museum inside this building. Shame it had videos only...More

Costs about $5 entrance fee, and was worth about 1-2 hours. It has a small pre-history section and a larger medieval section on Prague. Upstairs is a really interesting paper mache model (from 1826) of the city. That was probably the highlight. Very small ladies...More

This is a great place to see the history of Prague. The museum is a short distance from our hotel, and we wanted to experience the history of the city. We enjoyed seeing a variety of items going back hundreds of years.

Not sure why this museum is rated so low. It is located in a lovely building, has nice displays. A bit far from city center but the effort to get there worth it, especially if you have an interest in history as I do. Lovely...More

This is a small museum and doesn't really have all that much to offer. The building itself isn't too impressive, especially when compared to all stupendous places in Prague. The main thing to see is the model of Prague, which fills a whole room. To...More

We visited this museum which is underestimated! It's exhibition consists of sections which goes back to neolithic age until quite recent age! It shows how the city was made and how Gothic nature really inspired Prague! I think that it's one of the best museums...More
