The simple basilica has a baroque facade and a simple Romanesque interior with parts dating back to the original construction from the tenth century. It is the oldest surviving church within the castle and as with any building of this age, it has gone through...More

Camparing to the cathedral this one is more simple. But still beautiful. You can feel how it used to be. Too bad not a lot remains from back then.

I do not even compare this basilica to St.Vitus Cathedral, they are incomparable, but still I saw more beautiful basilicas. Outside it is better looking; inside you may see old frescos.

This building is a great photo opportunity thanks to its striking, clean facade and impressive architecture. As this building is found within the castle complex, no detour should be necessary to give this sight a visit.

Your experience in Prague will never be complete if
you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched
from the west to the north, provide spectacular views
of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone
streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green
gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses.
Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history.
