Black Light Theatre TaFantastika in Prague and its performance Aspects of Alice is one of the oldest black light performances, played for almost 30 years. Traditional Czech theatrical technique with beautiful music from Smetana and others will tell you a story about Lewis Carrol, the author of Alice in Wonderland, and his Alice. Two times every day - at 7PM and 9:30 PM. This show is not the story of Alice in the Wonderland, it's about what's behind the story and author's life. We have a NEW CAFE - opened every day from 1PM to 11PM, offering different variations of coffe, fresh tea, alcoholic and soft drinks, healthy snacks (like Raw ice-cream for example) and popular hot chocolate! Good prices and LIVE MUSIC every day!

My wife and I were very disappointed of the show. Very dull. It was very boring and I had a nap during the show. My be good for little children. Prague is full of attractions. If you have a free night, spend it elsewhere.

We have had the opportunity to visit 2 different Black light Theater show, and if we have to choose we like better this one, really enjoyable and fascinating: the show is much better, the interaction with viewers and the theater is big and comfortable, we’ve loved that there is a bar and while waiting to start the show you can... If you want to spend over an hour being entertained by a small group of performers then this is for you. I went to see Aspects of Alice and was not disappointed. A great show with comedy included all done to great background music. An end of performance workshop allows you to see how the 'illusions' were done as well... More

I have never leave a theatre more dissapointed.... First of all they said the play was 1 hour and a half… well, not true. It was 1 hour with 10 minutes break for 27 euros each!!! Stealing!!!! But to be honest, my legs and back were happy it was only one hour because I wouldn’t have been able to seat... More

A theatre medium that originated in Prague and a fun take on Alice in Wonderland. We have seen black light in multiple venues in Prague and this is the grandest and most professional of them all. A must do for any first time visitor to this wonderful city.

It's not 'high-art' but a clever and engaging little show that uses tricks and lighting gimmicks to create amazing illusions. I loved it. Don't expect a well-constructed plot; it's episodic and loosely based on or inspired by Alice in Wonderland, set in Prague. I would recommend seeing it if you are interested in the technical aspects of theatre.

Was quite excited about this new concept of black light theatre and the approach is certainly a novel one. However the story and the execution left much to be desired. Aspects of Alice as the title and the promotion of the show make it seem like a fantasy suitable for children and the young at heart but there are some... More

We booked in for the light show not knowing what to expect. Very good to watch but a little underwhelming at the same time. Incredibly talented light/street artists who worked at a phenomenal speed. The performance for 500 kc was 35 mins followed by 25 mins of interactive discussion and having the chance to try out the equipment on stage.... More

If you had a man dressed from head to foot in black, except for a pair of white gloves, then, if the stage lighting was correct, all you'd see was his disembodied hands. This basis is used for all sorts of novelties, and only Prague has them, in two separate theatres. A talented and acrobatic cast put this to lively... More

Expressed my Hong Konger identity and got a 200kc off discount from the grey-haired uncle here 😁 He was so enthusiastic and made me a unexpectedly wondrous night presented with Aspects of Alice, a black-light drama show. Light effects extensively interact with the black background have stayed in my mind. The theme song and Alice's performance over the sky of... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
