Planning my trip to Prague, I though I did my research... wanted to know everything about the city. I did not KNOW what I DID NOT KNOW until I took this tour Although the main focus is Prague during WWII, it does give you a great overall of the country and the region. You also go to a few places... This walking tour is not to be missed. Our guide Sonia was a great teacher, and revealed facts about Prague's history in such an entertaining way that we were hanging on her every word. Two hours went by in a snap! I would recommend this to all.

Went on this tour with my husband and was a bit reluctant as its not my area of interest but thoroughly enjoyed it. Margaret led the tour and was very knowledgable about the buildings and history of Prague. She pointed out lots of points or interest which are easily missed.

I discovered this tour on the Lonely Planet book. Perhaps, Lonely Planet is becoming outdated for the info-tech age where info is moving a lot faster OR Prague has gotten a lot better with all their other tours....but this WW2 tour is NOT as great as it sounded on the Lonely Planet and reviews. I studied WW2 ( Nazism and... More

We were 5 on the tour. The guide made profound explenations about the pre WWII Europian polotics and showed authentic photos of city spots taken at theose times. Took us to the underground historical local residances under the old city hall, which are not open to the public. Though I was dissapointed not visiting the hideout and place of the... More

A remarkable journey into the trials and tribulations of the Czech people. It is hard to believe that what Marketa told us could happen. You could tell that she was passionate about the subject and this helped keep us captivated. It wasn't all gloom and doom though, she kept it light hearted at times which again made the tour that... We had an excellent guide in Pavel who was obviously passionate about his subject and would not be rushed by time contraints in ensuring our group was well informed as to the horror of the Nazi invasion of Prague. Friendly and informative he walked us through the sites of Prague for over two hours, including underground and gave us an... More

Our guide was Pavel and he was excellent--professional, knowledgeable and very, very nice. It was clear that he had studied the material and was excited about the subject matter. My wife, two daughters and I toured with Pavel and we all loved it. We learned so much about what happened in this country and in Prague. The different sites he... More

We LOVED our tour of Prague from a WWII perspective, and give kudos to our guide Sonya. It was a very full, well-led, informative experience, and we liked the fact that others on our tour shared our interest in the angle. We highly recommend this experience! If we go back, we'll sign up for another tour with them.

Our guide was Martin and he was extremely knowledgeable and engaging, and answered all questions thoroughly. There is a lot of information to take in but I learned a lot about the war from a Czechoslovakian perspective. Price is 600 CZK per person for a 2 hour tour, considering the content of the tour I found this very reasonable, and... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
