It is a very attractive area right under Charles Bridge. it has a stream and at one end a large water mill. the mill wheel still turns though it doesn't power anything anymore.

Very lovely place to visit. We just visited for a morning and found one of the lovely places nearby to have a coffee!

Nice little boat trip, you get a free drink and free snack and then circle around Charles Bridge, before going up the river a little bit. The commentary is very interesting, but could improve on the English a little bit. You learn a lot about Charles Bridge and the history of Prague, including the division of lesser town and old... Nice pleasant boat tour, which lasts about 45 minutes - 1 hour. It doesn't cover much ground, but stays near and around the Charles Bridge. Liked the fact that the boats were particularly nice - with a proper rooftop and windows - so, works for both hot and cold/wet weather. The added nice touch was the beverage and snack they... More

I've seen mixed reviews for this. Maybe a lot is down to the driver / captain of the boat. These are smaller more personal boats with open sides, and operate at the foot of the Charles Bridge at the Karlova side. We paid 290 cek per adult 145cek per child, whereas on the Mala Strana side, it was bigger boats... More

Reading several very negative reviews, I realized that many people expected quite a lot more for their (less than) $12. We had no false expectations, so we were actually pleasantly surprised when we got a small beer and an ice cream bar (unusual combo, I might add) along with our guided tour from the water. 50 minutes of relaxing as... Paid for this, and forgot to check when they would actually take us anywhere, so we waited over half an hour in freezing cold weather. Then a teeny noisy boat took a few of us to a dock under a bridge, where we were told we would transfer to the bigger boat. They were completely disorganized, and after a 10... More

This is a fantastic couple of hours and I recommend it to anyone. The boat Captains are a mine of information not only of the river but Prague itself. So if you are travelling without a guide heres your chance to ask. The one we had was just itching to answer questions and put everyone at ease. Also theres a... More

It was a super nice informative tour on the river. The price is also good and after that to go with the ticket in the charlesbridge-museum fits perfect.

This is a really nice trip and I would advise book it from the “Castle side” of Charles Bridge, as you then get a bonus short transfer boat ride across to the actual berthing point of the cruise itself at no extra cost. The vendors for the tickets are easily identified as wearing the classic white “sailors outfits” and berets... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
