Great place to taste local wine, cheese

Small place but with great service. Nice way to taste local wine. We had wine by the glass with local cheese and salami. It was a great Sunday night.

My wife and I stopped here before dinner and sampled several different Moravian wines. The wines were good and reasonably priced. The woman running the place was also very helpful in helping us choose what to order. They have a huge inventory and also sell food. Highly recommended.

Exactly what we were after. A place where we could try several Czech wines with the help and advice of someone who knew plenty about them. We got both, accompanied by some easy nibbles. Will definitely return.

Very cozy bar with few tables and a great selection of Czech wines. Our sever was amazing and very knowledgable about the wine selection they have. We requested a wine tasting flight and she happily created one for us and she took the time to explain each wine to us in details.

Saw a rating for Vinograf that was interesting because of their special knowledge of local wines. Enjoyed a couple small plate appies and ended up buying one of the local wines we tasted. Service was a bit inattentive considering there were only a couple other people there.

We stopped in here on the way back to our hotel. What a great find! There are three of these around the city, but this one, near the Charles Bridge, is very small, perhaps only 8 tables. But the proprietor was so very friendly. He helped us select wonderful Czech wines, and also helped us select a perfect arrangement of... More

The woman working (I believe she was the owner) was very knowledgable and helpful in helping us choose from a large selection of Czech wines. She also let us sample several before deciding on a glass to order. It was quite small and had a very nice, relaxed atmosphere. It definitely seemed to be a local hangout. The food selection... There are three Vinograf bars in the city, the one we went to is the smallest and only deals in Czech wines. The lady serving was very helpful although her English wasn't the best, but since we don't speak Czech I can't complain! My wife had two wines and one was so good we bought a bottle to take home.... Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
