Where do I start. A place that I was always on my guard not so much on a Sunday as there are fewer people about. Weapons of all sorts from battens, stars, knives and knuckle dusters. Sex toys next to kids toys you couldn't make it up. I bought a t shirt and scarf from here a few years back probably fake but still good as new. You will also be approached to take a look in one of their lock ups full of the usual label fakes from Adidas, Nike etc Always barter and walk off they will call you back if you give them a sensible price. There are a few restaurants here but we gave them a miss if you visit you will see why.

Cheap veggies. Other than that, don't really see the point?
Jan. 2019 • Couples
You can get cheap veggies here local style. Like a dirty warehouse with lots of choices for fruits and vegetables, fish market vibe.

Outside area is filled with Vietnamese merchants selling low-quality Chinese goods for upped prices. I really did not see the point of this. Anyone buying this stuff is going to be ripped off. Compared to for example an outside market in Berlin, this was not really worth visiting other than for buying the veggies.

If you are around why not

This farmer market is inside a huge area with a flee market around. The flee market is really not interesting with lots of chinese produtcs (and always the same). Just few fast food restaurants look good maybe (Vietnamese food).
About this farmer market, you can find local good products. I bought bio apples very good and some vegetables. You have one cheese stand, some bread/pastries, one fish stand and sausages one. Prices are corrects.
If you are around, it can be a good spot where to buy stuff but don't go on purpose.

It's à Nice place to go. You can buy vegetables or fruits inside but you can also buy many souvenir or clothes or shoes or whatelse for a really good price. Also you can it chinese or vietnamien food or even chez food for nothing, It's really cheap and good. We loved this place.

Fresh products for locals
Apr. 2018
The Farmers market is located in one pavilion of the huge market place (number 22, as far as I remember).
Very nice clean place where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, greens and even chicken meat.
I got very delicious sausages there!
All the other territory of the market is occupied by asian goods. Nothing interesting...

If there was ever a site with so much potential?
This Holesovice market, at first sight, looks awful- but dig a little deeper.
The farmers market hall is a gem. Mostly good honest fruit and veg, but increasingly local game sausage and salami's that are genuinely world class. 2017-18 there are even more vendors!
The rest of the market is down market Chinese vendors selling crap, but it's worth getting lost in the halls just once.
There is a cafe there where you can get a good little lunch for 100czk.
The site is huge, and in the past there was clearly a lot more going on. It's improving. I missed the Friday/Saturday pop up market.

Cheap market

Market with cheap stuff. Not worth the lengthy trip to the area. The food places looked rather cheap too and I wouldn't dare to eat there. Great view of a part though.
