Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Chotkovy Sady is the Czech name and most tourists have no idea this park exists.
It is a small park, a nice green spot dotted with benches and amazing views of the city below.
If you are at the Castle and are pressed for time, are looking for more splendid views, make your way here.
You don't have to go all the way to Letna park...for a wonderful photo opportunity...

this little public park is a true gem that is hidden in plain sight between the more celebrated Royal Gardens and Letna Gardens...as the previous reviewer mentioned, it is quiet...we were walking from the Royal Gardens at late morning/nearly noon on a weekend and saw maybe 4-6 other people the whole time as we walked and we had the benches all to ourselves, to sit and enjoy the birds singing (in otherwise silence) and the spectacular views looking out over Prague and the bridges in the mist (this was late spring) made for beautiful photos...the kind of park that made you wish you lived in the area just to be able to enjoy a regular stroll or sit (and made me wonder why it wasn't more peopled with locals...maybe so at day's end)

Not many people seem to know about this park- it is easy to combine it with a visit to the lovely Letna park over a pedestrian bridge.
Our favourite thing was a wooden swing hooked up to one of the trees, right near the best view- a special experience!
There is a beautiful memorial here, sadly some tourists treated it with a lot of disrespect when they took pictures posing all over it. It is hard to understand the mentality of some people.

One park ends another one starts. Walking from the Royal Gardens towards Letna Park, Chotkovy Sady are between those two. There is a bridge - overpass, that stretches over the road below. The trams rumble up from Klarov up the hill and turn the first left around a stone wall.
One September afternoon we witnessed (for the first time) a huge number of fotbal fans marching down the hill under the bridge. The traffic was stopped and diverted. Surprised people had to exit trams. Police in full gear escorted the marching fans ( team Sparta) down the hill.
Amazing show, lots of energy and chanting. We were surprised by the large number of police, maybe they were fans too.
Who knew that walking through Chotkovy Sady will be this exciting !

Small park with a water feature (which was empty in mid march) which looked nice. Good overview of Lesser Town and view of the castle on the next hill over. Small bridge between the Chotek Gardens and Letna Park is nice as it crosses a busy road down the hill into Prague.

Wonderful panorama of Prague - just get off a tram at Chotkovy Sady stop and then up the hill. There you'll find couple of benches ideally located to see all the central Prague at once: castles, cathedrals, bridges and Vltava river, all this sitting amongst greenery, singing birds and virtually no tourists ;)
From there you can proceed to Prague Castle (Hradčany) along the stiff hillside.
